How it’s coming along…
Hey everyone! My quest to lose 100 lbs is going well! I have cheated quite a bit, but overall, my relationship with food has been much healthier. I haven’t overeaten much, maybe once or twice. I have not eaten any of the forbidden 4- ice cream, cheesecake, french fries, or candy. I ride the line though… I consider chocolate to be okay, because of it’s health benefits. All other candy like Skittles and candy bars are off limits (sugar free/fat free candies are okay). I also had ice cream cake on Dan’s birthday, which I plan to avoid for the rest of the year. I will just make cheapy regular cakes for the rest of birthdays and holidays and such.
For breakfast, I eat cereal or oatmeal with splenda. Then for lunch I have been having a huge salad with spinach and spring mix, carrots, and a little bit of maple-mustard dressing. I also have some sort of small entree…usually vegetarian. For snack I make a smoothie with strawberries, a banana, skim milk, and splenda. Than dinner, I have whatever I want. I need to make more veggies though…. but Nick seems so sensitive to alot of them in my breastmilk. After I wean him I’ll be able to eat more of the cruciferous ones, like broccoli, cauliflower and onions. I have been pretty good with portion control, but will need to reduce it down even more after I wean.
Exercise has also gone well, I am able to pump it pretty hard! Weights have helped alot, since I am starting from ground zero. They help with my strrength to do everythign else, and seem to be energizing me.
Right now I am at a 10lb loss, from 226 to 216. A bit ahead of schedule, but could be a little better. I am hoping to be under 200 lbs by the tradeshow at the end of September, under 180 would be ideal if I can really lose good this summer. I want to look professional, and it’s hard when you feel tired and lumpy.
I just hope the momentum stays god, or gets even better. Ill write again soon!
